DJEMBE DRUM CIRCLE SESSIONS
In association with ELREM Foundation CIC, Greenwich Peninsula Community Fund, Knight Dragon and London Community Fund, we were able to carry out 12 fantastic Djembe Drum Circle sessions at the Firepit Art Gallery, Greenwich Peninsula.
Our sessions harnesses the power of rhythm to bring people together. I am an experienced facilitator passionate about inclusive arts, this project is designed for Deaf and Disabled community but we welcome everyone.
Whether you’ve never picked up a drum before or you’re a seasoned percussionist, all you need to join is enthusiasm and a willingness to “feel the beat.”
Accessible Sessions: The venue is accessible, and sessions are British Sign Language inclusive.
No Experience Needed: We’ll guide you through each rhythm, step by step.
Community & Connection: Beyond drumming, you’ll meet fellow participants, share stories, and build new friendships. Our focus is on collaboration—each person’s voice (and rhythm) matters.

The Deaf Jam festival at Brighton Fringe on 30th may 2025, was a great success. Deaf Jam is a bold, immersive celebration of live music and vibrant Deaf culture - a fusion of sound, silence and visual artistry.
Created for the Deaf and hard-of-hearing community, and welcoming all, this ground-breaking event redefines how music is experienced, blending powerful bass, British Sign Language (BSL) performance, and tactile soundscapes.
It’s more than a gig — it’s a movement. Feel the rhythm as the bass pulsates, witness stories told through sign and song, and embrace a night of raw energy and connection. With an electrifying line-up of Deaf artists and allies, Deaf Jam is a riot of music, art, and rebellion.
No barriers. No limits. Just community — loud in every sense.
Stay tuned for some cool images of the event...
